SCRIP Program

SCRIP Program

What is Scrip?

  • Scrip is “substitute money”. It is fundraising while you shop!
  • When you buy Scrip from Christ Lutheran, you are purchasing gift cards to businesses that you frequent. You receive the full value of the gift card.
  • Scrip can be used to purchase anything from groceries, fuel, clothing, toys, and cosmetics to entertainment, electronics, home improvement, or household services.
  • When you buy Scrip, Christ Lutheran receives a percentage of your purchase. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with Scrip at their stores.
  • The profits from Scrip will be used to purchase non-budgeted items that are needed at Christ Lutheran School.

How does it work?

  • View the Scrip order form. (Paper copies are sent home monthly with the students and copies are also available in the church narthex.)
  • Think about purchases you want to make in the next month, or gifts you need to give. Shopping with Scrip money benefits our school!
  • Make your selections.
  • Attach check to form.
  • Return to your child's teacher or place in church basket by the due date.
  • Your gift cards will be delivered to you within one week!

I don't get it.
